On the electric scooter market, you can find fast, expensive models packed with extra features. However, the Kukirin S1 Max is designed for ordinary users who need a practical vehicle for daily use – commuting to work, school, or quick trips around the city.

Riding Experience

First impression? Simple construction and quick assembly – unpacking and assembling the scooter takes literally a few minutes. The Kukirin S1 Max starts in three speed modes:

    1. 1st gear – up to approx. 15 km/h,

    1. 2nd gear – up to 20 km/h,

    1. 3rd gear – up to 25 km/h.

On flat terrain, the scooter easily reaches the claimed speed. Uphill, for a rider weighing around 80–90 kg, it also performs quite well. For lighter users (60–70 kg), performance will be even better.

The “honeycomb” wheels are a huge advantage – no risk of punctures provides comfort and the assurance that you’ll always get home. The downside is the lack of full suspension – on uneven surfaces, the ride can feel stiff and vibrations are noticeable. The rear spring helps a bit but cannot replace front shock absorbers.

The brakes work properly, although they are not very strong. Fortunately, at the maximum speed of 25 km/h, this is not a major issue. An additional feature is the ability to brake using the rear fender – a simple but effective emergency solution.

Folding and Mobility

The folding mechanism is one of the stronger points of the Kukirin S1 Max. The process takes a few seconds, and the scooter can be easily carried or placed in a car trunk. This is an important advantage, especially for people who frequently combine scooter rides with other modes of transport.
