Kukirin A1 Review

First Impression and Assembly

When ordered, the scooter arrives in well-protected packaging, ensuring that the device is not damaged during transport. Assembly is limited to attaching the handlebars – the package includes the necessary tools, a user manual (also in Polish), and a charger. The assembly process is simple: just connect the electrical wire and tighten four screws.

Appearance and Construction

The Kukirin A1 looks modern and solid. The deck is wide, non-slip, and finished with rubber with orange accents, providing a stable stance while riding. The scooter weighs 25.5 kg, which is acceptable for this class. An interesting detail is the illuminated company logo – a blue dragon that gives it a distinctive look.

Motor and Performance

The drive is located in the rear wheel and delivers 800 W of power. The scooter offers three speed modes:

  • 1st gear – 20 km/h (compliant with regulations),

  • 2nd gear – 30 km/h,

  • 3rd gear – up to 45 km/h.

The 13 Ah battery allows for a range of about 40–50 km on a single charge, which takes approximately 7 hours. Steep uphill climbs are not a problem, although the speed drops compared to 1000 W models.

Riding Comfort and Safety

Large 10-inch tubeless tires with off-road tread and effective suspension make riding over uneven surfaces comfortable. The scooter has mechanical disc brakes on both wheels, and the brake light activates when braking. Additionally, turn signals are built into the handlebars, increasing safety on the road.

Functionality and Additional Features

  • Folding design – easy storage and transport in a car trunk.

  • LED lighting – provides excellent road illumination.

  • Key and ignition switch – extra security against unauthorized use.

  • Thumb throttle and rubber handle grips – convenient for daily use.

Summary

The Kukirin A1 is an excellent choice for those looking for an electric scooter that combines performance, comfort, and safety. With a powerful motor, good suspension, and modern design, it works well for both daily city commuting and weekend off-road rides.

Pros:

  • powerful 800 W motor,

  • good suspension,

  • wide, non-slip deck,

  • practical lighting and turn signals,

  • attractive design.

Cons:

  • charging time of about 7 hours,

  • weight over 25 kg – may be noticeable when carrying.

👉 In summary: The Kukirin A1 is a very good electric scooter in its price and functionality class.
